i just got the long awaited patch and now i cant connect what the hell is going on...if u are experiencing the same problem let me no.

Could you explain what happens a little more? Do you make it past sign-in screen? Do you get to Server Screen?

i sign in then i let the update thing dupdate then i hit play and the black planetside screen that says connecting cant connect.

They are probably still working on the servers

oh yeah ive been having that same problem. but i ahve the solution. i think it is your firewall. every time the servers are brought down to be upgraded or whatever, you firewall sees it as something different than what it was before, so it wont let your computer download it. try deactivating your firewall, play planetside, and then bring it back up. youll have to do that every time the servers are updated

I have the firewall issue too, and you can fix it without bringing down your firewall (mine actually doesn't work by shutting down the firewall). Go into your firewall settings and find which programs it is allowing access. Click to add an allowed program, then find the planetside.exe file. That should solve it.

there was a patch today, so the client is different. You will usually trigger new pop-ups when their is a patch.

Of course, you coulda been trying to log on while they were patching
