Bla Trojan attack during play - From Sony!

Don't want to start an uneccessary scare here people, but since day one of playing Planetside my system is regularly "attacked" by what Norton Personal Firewall terms a "High Risk Bla Trojan Horse."

This attack is from "sdlaunchpad1.station.sony.com (64.37.148.142): 3016" and is always blocked by the Firewall, but it repeatedly occurs during Planetside play at apparently random intervals.

Sony have so far failed to respond to this serious issue despite numerous emails.

Symantec's site lists this Trojans payload at http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/ven...la.trojan.html

Has anybody else come across a similar attempt to drop in this or any other Trojan Horse during gameplay either on Planetside or on any other game via the sony launchpad? I am curious to hear more input from you all on this so please help out.

You know, I've just tried to post this on sony's official Planetside Forum only to receive a "Blocked: Spam Alert" error message on send - I wonder which word triggered their alarm and just which part of this they don't want discussed? It all sort of makes me wonder....

I had noticed an increase in the attacks against my firewall. They're all backdoor trojan attacks. I have not seen them happen for about a week now. It might have been included in the latest patch or something. Or it could be that there's a script on the server side that Norton thinks is a trojan.

Kind of curious that Sony hasn't responded to your e-mails. I would say that this is something rather serious. Could this be the cause of the many lag and latency issues with this game? Perhaps.

probably the firewall misinterpreting it? Proabably non-malicious script or whatever, but you never know, always best to be safe

could be spyware from sony

(Edit if I no longer post in here its cos Sony have hunted me down for slander )

afaik, the 'detection' would be based on the port that is being accessed, it sounds a bit like sony are just using the same port number as the trojan uses
