Talk about Nerfing

I like to watch "Yesterdays Winner" on the PlanetSide web site alot . I feel this is the best way of seeing who has the most power and who should be nerfed. I saw mostly TR at the top for a long time, and what do they do? Nerf the TR. Now I am seeing a switching between NC and TR for Top dog alot, but not much VS. Of corse what is sony talking about? looking into the VS to buff them up. So TR and NC people don't complain about nerf this and nerf that, your the ones with the most right now. Just my 2 cents.

Just because the NC has the Jackhammer it is overpowered. Maybe we have all our maxes and other weapons a little bit better then what the NC has but it is a very small ammount each item for us. So hence we get more kills that way?? who knows. we seem to be at a acceptable ballance with the NC.

I don't believe anybody should be nerfed, I also don't think the TR should have been nerfed, but oh well its happened.

As opposed to the reams and reams of statistics the PS Devs compile about gameplay? Oh yes. Let's destill the entire game into a single set of THREE percentages and use that as the measuring stick to level the playing field. Gah. It makes me sick just to think about this idea as anything other than lunacy.

None of us see the statistics for the entire game. None of us really know what the kills stats are for each empires weapons across the board. We can't analyze 10 page reports about the statistical odds you will be killed by a jackhammer or supressor. We don't know what the average BR is. We don't know anything compared to what the devs know about how the game is unfolding across the board.

We can make suggetions. We can theorize. We can even try to compare things. But we can't start basing our feedback to the devs on the "winner of the day" unless we don't want our feedback to be worth anything.

I dont think anyone needs nerfed either. TR is no more powerful than anyone else. I think the V's just need a lil more hitting power, lots of fire fights are won by who does the most damage quickest to the most targets, V's are kinda gimped in that instance with the obvious exception of the CheeseTankOfDeath. Glad the are popping there power up, the better for everyone if more people play purple! This is the first pvp online game ever when I was happy the enemy was being boosted

All weapons are are probably as they should be but people dont realize how to use them. I personally, am always trying to find a lovely Lancer or Pulsar but being TR, thats usualy a problem. Its not about how strong the weapon is, but how you use it.

The problem lies in how the sides are perceived. When the game launched, the TR was perceived by the general public as overpowered (they prolly were a bit, but that doesn't matter). So what happens, more people go TR than the other realms. Also, the hardcore gamers, the powergamer, play 8 straight hours types, also go TR. So what you end up with is a numerical advantage for the TR. So what happens, they nerf the TR. Now I actually agree with the nerf, but again that is irrelevant.

Now what happens? The hardcore TR players start to jump ship and go NC. Now everyone is complaining about the NC being overpowered. How could they now be overpowered, when nothing has changed with their weapons since launch? The jackhammer has been in game since beta and I never heard much complaining about it.

Wait until the Vanu gets its (much needed) help. Players will flock there and then the nerf the <vanu weapon of the month> chants will start.

The game is not perfectly balanced, and it probably never will be. Unless we all want the weapons to be common pool, we have to live with this. The bottom line is, in my experience, the realm with the most players wins the battles most of the time, regardless of who is overpowered or whatever.

The problem is when will it end?

Less Damage on the Max DC. And, More focus'd damage on the Max Pounder. I fail to see how this is such a devistating, "nerf"
If anything, i'd say it takes a bit more finess to use these weapons.

I agree with kerosene the only reason TR was winning all the time was because its a numbers game.People thought TR was more powerful so they flocked to the TR. We don't have the technology like a real war would such as cruise missiles or things like that to clear out an area so the win comes down to the power of the zerg. Then again I also think the TR maxs are better suited for defense. thats about all they can do with that damn lock down thing. while the NC maxs were better made for massive assault. Then for the Vanu I think there maxs were intended for surgical strikes. Damn I just realized I started rambling so I'll stop here.

I've played VS since beta.... I think the pulsar needed a little bump... And the Lasher still needs some looking at..... I'm not posting because we are underpowered...

I'm here saying that people should try all the empires and stick with their favorit... And not the Favorit empire of the patch... But saying this means nothing.... I'm going to stay VS until I quit... I might have other charaters in other empires but this is my main, and I play him at least 90% of the time... Don't know where I was going... At work and bored bout to fall asleep...

I love when people try to tell me my weapons are fine and dandy and perfectly balanced, it's just that every single player ever deciding to choose vanu is somehow magically worse than every other player in the game. you heard the frozen monkey, every single Vanu needs to stop sucking and start playing better!

I have to agree pretty much nothing needs nerfing right now. Everything is pretty good at what it does you just have to use it smart and not charge a JH guy with your lasher than cry about it.
