I have just purchased the ATI Atlantis Radeon 9500 AGP 8X 128MB DDR Video Card w/TV-Out & DVI by Sapphire Tech, when I realized that it is not the 9500 Pro. What is the difference between the two? Is it a big enough difference to cancel the order and reorder the pro?
One more question. If I do re-order, is it worth the $$ to get a 9600pro, 9700pro, 9800pro??? Thanks in advance for any help, deckhead |

Well the 9800 pro 256Mb card is deff. the best ATI card out there now. If you just want to get top performance without breaking the bank the 9700 pro will do you well.

There is a pretty decent difference between the 9500 and the Pro version. Many non-pro's only have 64 megs of ram also. I would defintely suggest switching to either the Pro version or going to a 9700np, Pro, or 9800 Pro depending on how much your looking to spend. 9600 Pro is so so, not highly recommended.

just ordered the 9500 pro today myself. there's a pretty big difference between that and the 9500 so I'd cancel your order. I recommend you get either the pro (which runs about $185) the non pro 9700 ($210) <-- a LOT of people are saying this is the new best deal but I don't trust the cheapo brand maker of it - Powercolor, or if you've got cash just get whatever - a 9700 pro or even 9800 pro. The performance of those 2 is pretty monstrous, although the 9700 pro is probably where the practicality line ends right now - you won't get much more bang out of a 9800 pro you'll already be running so fast.
