Should I get SWG, read inside.

It sounds like a nice game, and using Ebay I could order it now and probably have my computer fixed by the time the game arrives. With luck I could get it for about $10 or less. Considering that, I'd get to try it, and if I don't like it, I'd put it back on for sale for enough to make up for the purchase price. It seems like a good enough deal, post your thoughts.

This says everything you need to know about SWG:

I'm fairly sure we're looking at the death of Star Wars, right here.

it will get better, just as PS is. They did release it too early, since in mid may they wanted it released in August. I'm still thinking about getting it, not now though, maybe in a couple months, but then there is HL 2 and WoW and JK3. SO I prolly wont get it.

I would get it if i had the $$$. Sure it has it's problems but anybody who says PS was perfect when it was release is a F***ing liar. A MMO is never perfect, the more time goes on though the more is gets there.

Looks pretty good, a lot more refined then EQ or AC1, but I may wait till player cities are in, because that's when the real community will kickstart...

I followed that game for a year or two...and was EXTREMELY disappointed by their change of heart over those years. At the beginning the devs all were in it for the glory that Star Wars could be...at the end, they just wanted to release it quick, who cares if there are no vehicles, player created missions, or even player cities?

Hah..judging from reviews, all but the illiterate cared.

Here is my impression of the game so far. If your playing by yourself this game sucks(you really need to have a guild or big group of friends playing). The game does have a big up side, the graphic is amazing...I mean jaw dropping good. That wookie you saw is actually doing that in game....no editing. The servers are getting pretty stable(I'm playing on Corbantis right now) now I was on Tatoonie killing Raiders near Wayfar(its a little town with some higher level mobs, awsome place to level) and their must have been about 50 or more people all doing the same thing. No lag.

The mission are hmmmm......boring.....all the missions are pretty much the same. Take this there or kill this here. Pretty much all you get this credits. Since the game depends on players getting their craft up to make better weapons and armor, its pretty much at a wall right now. The game world it self is just plain hugh as far a planet map goes(its really really big since it was plan to have speeders and the likes but it won't be in till the space expansion). They should have waited to put personal transports in the game before launch because it takes forever and a day to get to a place without shuttle transport. If you like crafting this is the game for you. The crafting is great and they already have an ebay type selling system to sell your wares. The skilling is seems pretty nice so far...if can pretty much pick and choose how you want to play your character. I am a little bit worried about the death later on in this game. So far as a newbie I don't have to worry about it but it cost me 1000(thats not too hard to earn) credit so far to bind at a cloning station. Later you will need to have your items insured so that when you die you don't lose them. One word....expensive or atleast to me so far but I guess you will learn to keep most items in the bank.

Lets talk about content so far....hmmm....I don't think too many people can really give you a final say on that. There are 4-5 planets(kinda like the planes in EQ) that you can't even get to right now and who knows whats on those. I haven't seen any boss type mobs yet...biggest I've seen is the Tusken Raider King near Wayfar. I found that there is some kinda quest with him but I'll have to wait to see whats thats about.

Should you buy?

I would have to say no right now. SWG is $14.99 a month and its $49.99 with one free month. I'm gonna wait to see after the first free month who is selling the game....if I can get it cheaper I might do it. I think that once you can own your spaceship and what not this game may rock, also the pvp setup is pretty nice. To end this I will say that I started out not liking it much but its getting better day by day. My opinion about it is changing. Thank you Thran for giving me the oppurtunity to play while your gone.

Yeah like i said all MMO get better with time, i highly doubt EQ was great when it first came out just like PS "sucked" when it came out but as time goes on and the patchs appear the game gets r0x0rz.

Hopefully i can win a few million and get SWG and PS going at the same time.
