After reading Incompetents excellent post I thought a bit, what ideas do I want to see?
Custom Vehicle Loadouts. Incompetent suggested this for the Lightning, but it might be even better on other vehicles. Need some quick Anti-Armor as a Reaver pilot? Those rockets are never going to hit a moving target. Ditch your normal weapons system and pick up a single 100mm cannon. Nice. Drawbacks- Only available at Tech Plant, wait time for a "tricked-out" variant is DOUBLE a normal design, AND it makes it so you can't even get a normal one for a little while. Ex-Jim decides he wants 3 20mms and 1 Rocket Pod, he grabs his custom Reaver...and crashes into a tree. Jim decides to just grab a normal Reaver at the Bio Lab he spawned at, but what's this? A wait time of 10 mins?! This would make Tech Plants infinately more important to hold. If only more bases could get an incentive like this... The MACE- Massive Adaptive Creative Engine (or whatever) This is a two handed rifle similar to the Nano-Dispenser. It uses ACES to create bigger items. Fire one ACE, you get a Spitfire, hit that ACE with another, you got a better turret. 1 ACE for a normal item, 2 for an imrpoved item. Also, three-four ACEs could be used to slap down a bunker kinda thing. This would take a lot of time to turn into the desired item. Advanced Medic- Give it a number of deployable Healing "Wards" that use the nanites of the base to project a healing field around them. This wouldn't be overpoweringly fast, but would be nice. Bonus-Standing still increases regen rate. Drawback-Fragile, a stray shot or two would wreck it. Only obtainable at a Bio Lab. Stimpacks-Give the Adv Medic Stim Packs about the size of a box of Nano-Dispenser juice. These can be used on friendlies to increase their speed to surge levels for 10 seconds. Drawbacks-This costs about 15 HP per Stim Pack. Only obtainable at Bio Lab. This would make Adv Meds far more useful, AND create a wish to hold onto Bio Labs. Whaddaya guys think? Cool? Stupid? I just skimmed over it cuz it's long but I like your sig? |

I actually like the idea of the adjustable weapon layout. I might not use it but it'd be a cool option to have 1 100mm gun on the reaver than the dual 20mm and the rocket pods.
The others aren't very appealing to me. But thats just IMO. Bigger question I have is how are you a BR8 and you only have 86 kills? My wife (who I have successfully gotten to play a little) have a reaver pilot who's BR4 and has 31 kills but she just got done yesterday with the VR stuff to get BR 3. |

I think custom vehicles would rin the game. The idea is that you get a bunch of people that can use different thing s to be mroe versatile. Giving custom vehicles coudl turn a ligthning into an AA tank, which would get rid of the need for AA infantry. Vehicles woudl own everything.
Although MACE would be awesome. Along iwth the healing wards and stim packs. MACE's and wards in conjunction could make defense a lot harder to break through. A suggestion for wards and stimpacks, though: Get rid of them being able to get at bio labs. They should be available everywhere, but you have to be an Adv medic. Also, make it so wards affect enemies. THis would promote enemies pushing the line, and possibly taking the same position the defense had and using the ward for themselves.
