What artists do you HATE? I hate manufactured pop, all they do is throw their ass and tits around, they sing crappy songs and are only popular because guys like the ass and tits. I also hate people like Sean Paul, who I can't understand. We i don really ca what people say, I need a little ah, demladoh! What the hell are you saying? I can't understand it, that's exactly what it sounds like to me.
Male pop singers also piss me off. Men shouldn't sing high pitch girly songs, that's my opinion. Love songs and stuff, that's fine. High pitched manufactured bullshit like Justin sings should be considered a sin, I'll invent a time machine one of these days and go back to biblical times, tell them to include another commandent: "Thou shalt not sing high pitched womanly bullshit, unless thou is a women, in which case it's just fine" That's what I hate. And I also hate this "Search Now!" bullshit that pops up, if you close it it closes your browser, which has caused me to have to rewrite this, ARGH!

i hate all pop and a lot of rock. WHY, cause rock music is so easy to write its not even funny. i could do it so SO easily it makes me sick wow lets see 3 or 4 cords, a few minor.... think of lyrics that can be emotional add them in...... ack. But jazz is a different story. i mean good jazz not that light shit or elevator music. Same with classical, about all classical played on radios sux. Im talking about some unknown and cool stuff. boroque music is very good, and who cant like the firebird. (who hasnt heard of it either) classical music appears boring and pure SUCK. but if you dig deaper, scrape off the surface, it is truly the most mentally stimulation and emotional beautiful music ever. its also the hardest to write (yeah, ive tried, have a few hundred midis of my cra.... err work.

you seem to be under the impression that unless it is hard to write it is bad music.
in order to write complicated music, you must bve educated in writing music. are you saying that the vast majority of people that have had no musical writing education cannot write emotional filled songs? i disagree. |

also you dont need training or to take composition classes to write classic mucis. you need talent and a good ear. what really pisses me off is rock performers who have no talent whos songs are simple pieces of crap, making loads of money while someone that just because he writes classical music gets squat. some simple and easy to write music is great. look at twinkle twinkle little star. great melody, but simple and out of the "classical" book. i just dont understand why people like most rock (some is very good). to sum this whole thing up: fyi britney: YOU CANT SING

Well said, Oni! The Britney thing at least. Classical or Heavy Metal, it's all a matter of preference. I like electric guitar, drums, dreadlocks, loud music (but not deafening like those people that play their music so loud in their cars that the doors are shaking and all you hear is BOOM, BOOM, BOOM) stuff like that. I hate soft girly ass pop like Britney. And Christina, this whole dark and evil "not a little girl anymore" thing really isn't working out for you. How about you just take your clothes off in the next video, that's all anyone wants out of you. Neo-classical music is pretty good, classic is okay, most rap sucks, some is okay. MTV sucks unless they're playing Linkin Park or something. That's my music for you.
And Good Charlotte is pop music at the rate they're going. I have The Young and the Hopeless, and the video for Girls & Boys or whatever it's called is done completely wrong. But really, if Christina and Britney did a lesbo sex video, no music, just sex, I'd pay MTV to show that.

Bad Musicians? I'd probably go with Kurt Cobain. Never understood why he got so much accolade. Severly overrated if you ask me.
why do you think studies show that more educated people (i.e people that have had collage educations) enjoy jazz over rock while people with middle school or high school educations dont. Because music has such strong ties to culture more than it does to educational background. To exclude culture from a musical survey would be a very ignorant thing to do. For instance, jazz has strong roots where I live here in New Orleans. I bet this survey would find many high school students here accept jazz more than high school stundents in Wisconsin. Music doesn't have to be written complicated to do what its meant to do: to affect the person listening to it. Much of HOW the music is played is often more powerful than its actual structure. Well I don't have one genre of music I listen too. I like many. I guess it just depends on what mood I am in and what not. Classical, Jazz, Hard Rock, HipHop, Rap, Christian, Punk, etc... There's some great music from all genre's. It just has to "move" me. I am not the type that says...oh it's not Rap...I don't like it. I am the type if I like the beat/rhythm/lyrics then that's it. That's all I need.
