OMG Balancing is a hard thing, sorry dev team.


Well I have a friend who plays PS and we go back and forth on how if we were the dervs what we would do to balance the game. I have come to conclude that it is hell trying to balance this game out. Well there are more here to meats the eye. Ok if a weapon is close to balanced and there are more people on army 1 than army 2 it then looks like army 1's weapons are overpowered due to army 1 killing army 2 alot more and army 2 always loseing (people always blame the weapons not the pop difference). Ok easy answer here, all of the same catagory of weapons do the same dammage. No now there is problems this army can shoot farther, that army has lock on, ect.

So in a way to give the dervs a little more credit and a little less bashing (not a ton of credit because there are still alot of problem not balance related, lol.) please post what you thing is under/over powered in the game and how would you fix it?

Latly everyone has complained about heavy assualt. Everybody has complained about the heavy assualt weapons because they kill you so much at close range, which makes sense. There was once this guy who said my lasher was overpowered becuase I killed him at close range and he had a guass rifle. Now I would think that heavy because it is called heavy and costs 4 cert poinst should be able to easily kill MA at close range. But yeah maybe the MCG is alittle underpowered and they should pump it up alittle bit, never used one but I dont see very many MCGs around latly. But yeah all three HA are good at something. GJ devs for working and trying to balence, alot of people out there whineing and you don't know who has a better point or if they're someone who died to the jackhammer once and wanted it nerfed.

And I agree pop difference can do alot to make one emire better or weaker.

I noticed that to, i was thinking about it. And the cert dose take 4 credits for heavy assult. do you want to waste 4 credits for another gauss, or pulsar or cycler? or do you want something that strikes fear. because no matter what they do, someone is going to complain and say nerf it.

Yeah, getting another MA weapon that costs 4 certs more just doesn't make sense.

Yep there will always be people out there that will say nerf it, but at least I don't post on the OF, it's full of crazies and nerf happy people. PSU is much better.
