The term Zerg comes from the game Starcraft. It is used to describe anytime a force of greater numbers starts to play the game. Most of the larger outfits in Planetside are known as Zerging outfits because of this.

More specifically, the term is used when a dominion simply uses overwhelming numbers to achieve success at a facility/continent. Pulled from Starcraft because that's typically the winning strategy for the Zerg race: amass a ton of units and flood over your enemy.

From starcraft yes.
Mejwell got it more to the point though, basically means the mass attack. Like if someone says "where's the zerg going now?" they mean where is the mass attack going. Where the zerg goes your gonna get the most exp points, either from kills or base caps. |
