Pounder rules MAXs, good against everything except aircraft. Gets your grief a bit high though! An anchored pounder is deadly!
Funny thing, i saw an apparetnly invincible pounder yesterday, was walking slowly arouns our AMS (some 30 NC there shooting him) he stops, doesnt even anchor down and shoot the AMS until it blows, then calmly kills all 30 NC, i was the last NC to die and had been running around him shooting him with the rocklet and gause until i ran out of ammo, he killed me as i tried to run. Figured he was cheating somehow and went to flame him, however it said 'the player is not currently online' but i know he was coz i could see him racking up more kills!!!!! He wasnt a corpse either, he was walking and taing 0 damage, i know i had Adv Targetting on. |

I would say (1) AI, (2) AA, and (3) AV.
The TR AI MAX is a tough cookie, no doubt about it. In any confined space, it can stop infantry dead in their tracks. The secondary mode on the grenades is perfect for tower fights, or any stairwell/corridor. The TR AA is great on aircraft (SG's air wing runs into a lot of them lately), but I don't know why the flak shells now kill people, vehicles, structures...it's overreaching IMO, but it is a good MAX. The DC is tough, but I've not had as many problems with it. |

I can kill any MAX at close range with a Gauss or Sweeper except the Pounder, and I don't even bother with MAXes at long range because I lack AV.
Indoors, the Pounder owns everything except other MAXes, but they usaly have support from infantry anyways. Its advantage is the heavy damage and the large radius it can do it in. It is the absolute best weapon for attacking groups of enemies. 2 pounders indoors+ light infantry support= Death. Your only hope is to barage them with SA weapons, and it still might take a few respawns to get the job done. Need to dislodge one from the stairwell of a tower, expect to respawn at least 5 times before he's dead unless you have a squad comeing from the roof behind them.

My favorite feeling in the game:
Walking along with a burster on, then I see a nme mosq just kind of hovering looking at something. He doesn't even know whats about to hit him. I anchor, and within 5 seconds he is gone, from range too. And this happens alot in game. Not to mention the unbelieveable scare tactics this thing envokes. You open up with a anchored burster on and every infantry and aircraft wihtin hearing distance hides. I love anchoring on cliffs, then opening up on a tower or base. I have range mag, boy is that fun with the burster . But.......inside the pounder owns everything. You can imagine my joy when I get to the nme (NC) spawn room, (with no freindlies in there) anchor at the door, and kill about 15-20 of the smurfs before my own fire kills me. Ah what a feeling. Do what I do, have both.
