No Punisher option.

Hello,
I just downloaded the 7 day trial and got loaded up last night. After a little experimentation I recieved some cert pts and learned Medium Assault. At the equipment dispenser I get a Gause option but no Punisher option.

Am I missing something, the only weapons I have access to are AMP, MAG-Scatter, Suppressor, and Gause Rifle.

I have these certs...
Standard Exo
Agile Exo
Reinforced Exo
Standard Assault
Medium Assault
ANT
Harasser

I thought Medium Assault got you the Punisher?

Could this be a limitation of the Trial version?

Any insight is greatly appreciated.

first, try scrowling the weps menu farther down, you should also have access to grenades, and to the Punisher and the Sweeper along with the gauss

either that or its a bug

I know for a fact that the 7 day free trial includes all weapons, including the punisher.

btw i wouldn't suggest using the punisher. It isin't all that good.

punisher is really only good as the poor man's gren launcher, and you can do better with the handheld ones

I will double check about the scrolling thing. I think there was another purchase screen that i had the same issue on.

Yeah, I heard that the punisher sucked but I just want to test all the weapons out for myself.

P.S. What is the best rifle after the NC JackHammer? for medium range?

Probably gauss. That, or go with something from special assault like thumper or rocklet.

I have actually found the gauss to be more all-round useful than the jackhammer. Its just that the Jack is really only good at close range (<5m) and unless you are using surge+ agile armor inside towers you are not likely to fare too well. Gauss is really one of the more powerful MA weapons for outdoors, good combination of power and accuracy.

My primary NC is an infiltrator so most of my advice is for a low lvl grunt

though Thumper (plasma)+ Gauss+ reinforced=fun. And you only have to be br 5 to get it!

I'm pretty sure you just didn't see the scroll icons. I've seen a lot of similar posts from new guys who couldn't find all the weapons. If you had tried the online training it would have taught you all about it.

Gauss is not a bad weapon, but it seems inaccurate as hell after you're used to using a Cycler for so long. Cycler spoiled the hell out of me. So I always swap my Gauss for a Cycler any chance I can.

You guy severely underestimate the punisher

. Whenever I'm not cloaking, I am usually using the punisher. You don't have to just concentrate on one target you can launch volleys at crowds from very far ranges, if you have the right aim. I'm averaging 6-8 kills before I die and thats quite a bit for me considering I am mainly a cloaker. Sure hand grenades are ok.... but you also have a backup weapon with the punisher, a very crappy rifle but still it works at close-medium ranges. With a grenade the best you could do is switch to a rifle taking 4 times longer than it would take to switch the punisher fire. Now the thumper is pretty cool but I just wouldn't trust myself without a rifle backup and that would mean I needed to get reinforced. So I tried this once and I sucked hardcore I could barely even move. But I respect all opinions and there are alot of them in PS. I hope I see you guys on the battlefield someday with my punisher and change your minds

. As to the OP. Like others have said it is definately a scrolling problem I am sure of this.

I tried the online training... I installed the download and ran it.

I completed the first training session with 2 crashed attempts.

I tried to do the second one but it kept spawning me in an open field. (I was supposed to be in a room with the equipment consoles)

I then proceeded to conect to the server and dl/run the patches.

After I installed the patches I started the training again. This time I did spawn into a building with the consoles in front of me.

But after about 30 seconds into the session it would quit to desk top. It did this 4 times.

I then bailed and figured I would try the "hands on approach".

Sorry if these are noob questions but I did try the proper channels.

The proper channels also include doing a search feature on the site

Anyhow yes when you get med assult the weapons page only shows up to the first weapon in the med assult, to get the other 2 you need to scroll down, of course to get any other category you need to scroll down even more
