(=Actual Gamers' account of a battle=)
Radio chatter echoed inside the Blue-And-Yellow helmet, Brows furrowed at the news of heavy enemy resistance at a nearby base. Gloved hands increased thier grip on the steering wheel, and veered the Deliverer as far left as he could without rolling the damn thing over the landscape. Spee had been trying to run to another base for an ammo refill on his deliverer's guns, but, finding that this was slightly more important, decided against the action, being he was the only being inside the vehicle at the time. The Deliverer tilted violently with the rough terrain as he careened over it as fast as the engine would allow, the main arch quickly approaching. Eyes scanned the horizon, only to reveal burster fire, and various red tracers flying about overhead, and the distant sound of chainguns going off. Lips pulled into a smile, he had always enjoyed fighting the Terrans. Quickly, the small vehicle rushed through the gates, and into the NW section of the courtyard, where, a sunderer violently exploded, a small peice of shrapnel from the blast lodging itself in the passenger seat where the right lung would be. A small, agile-armor-clad terran ran out from behind the smoldering wreckage, shoving someting into the earth, which flickered green and then turned into a mine. A small adjustment on the wheel was made, as the 4-ton transport quickly rolled over the man, a muffled scream coming from the undercarriage. The scream was followed almost immidiatly by the mine going off, shrapnel damaging the shields on the vehicle to near-nothing. He backed out, and continued on, running into 2 or 3 more mines. Figuring his vehicle was in great danger of exploding, Spee dismounted, and, from the corner of his eye, saw a small mechanical turret in the courtyard. He ducked behind a pile of crates and crouched, readying his Gauss Rifle, and then opened fire, the whine of the magnetically accelerated rounds echoing off the walls and blending into the general background noise of havoc and death. Not 4 seconds after he had gone prone, did spee hear, through his helmet, the main door opening, followed by bullets piercing the meager amount of armor he was equipped in. He quickly stood and faced the attacker, an agile with a cycler. The two distanced each other, and began strafing, firing at each other as they ran paralell to each other's paths. Both guns fired constantly, red and yellow tracers blurring about and eating away at the facility, before both guns made a hollow 'Click'. Familiar with the sound, Spee reached into his back ammo pocket, and produced a 9mm ammo pack, the Terran doing the same. As both parties locked thier respective clips in, the Terrans feet were knocked out from under him, head smashing through the windshield of a skyguard. The corpse then rolled off, broken limbs flopping about. Turning to face the skyguard who had potentially saved him, he was about to radio a 'thanks', before the same vehicle that saved him, exploded violently, shrapnel flying in every direction, including into Spee's armor, which, thankfully, took all of the damage from it. Seeing that the rest of the invaders were at the door, he quickly rushed to join his compatriots, when, as the main door opened, Pounder fire erupted on the large doorframe, bodies collapsing everywhere. He managed to make it out of the blast radius, but not without injury, as he was profusely bleeding, injured, and his armor was hanging in peices, kept together by the black leotard that Agile NC's wore under the protective vests. Crying out for aid, Spee was quickly helped by a Medic, and an engineer, who restored him to proper fighting condition. The pounder was dead now, so, with his many fellow Comglomerates, rushed in through the gate, up the stairs, and towards the staircase. Upon arriving there, Spee opened fire on the level on the stairs below him, slaying two terrans, before he backed out into the secure main entrance room, where he awaited more medical attention. However, as he waited, a Terran, using a jackhammer, came up the steps and slew everyone who stood in his path. As he entered the main entranceway, the first target he saw was the injured New Conglomerate. The Terran pulled back on the trigger, and Spee fell hearing the remaining two shots echo across the large room. Some time later, he awoke, the familiar hum of a Medical Applicator nearby, as he rolled over and began to vomit from the sudden shock to his body. He had been clinically dead for 14 minutes, enough time for his body to stiffen. The ejection of the contents of his stomach, merely a product of the electric impulses form his brain to his abdomen, causing rapid, very unpleasant contractions. He grabbed his gauss rifle next to his body, stood shakily, and began to go back to work. ~Fin~ |
