CE say .... Whew...

Question: "Is the difficulty in placing deployables (having to put them away from objects aways) a balance issue or a bug? Tactical spitfire, mine, and sensor placement is the thing I enjoy most about the game, this bug or feature is driving me nuts."

Dallas: Heh, it is not a feature, it's a bug. It's supposed to be corrected right now in the Balance pass on public test. I'd love it if people jumped on public test and make sure that was the case, but yeah we were not allowing them to placed in places where they should be placed.
I'm so glad that this was a bug. I was even considering dropping my CE cert (which i have always had since beta).

Now if they would just make boomers damage spherical in shape, we'd be all set.

I'm glad it's a bug myself. I still love my CE cert and no matter what I'll never give it up.

Before the last big patch you could place deployables a lot closer to walls/trees/rocks etc. You could also place boomers and motion sensors on walls. At the moment there is a bug that only allows them to be placed on the floor and a lot further away from other objects.

It's best to place deployables where they can't be seen, so you put them right next to a tree, wall, door... but with last patch all deployables had to be like 3 feet from an object, really messing up alot of tatical placement. Right now, it's a challenge to use boomers indoors because you will try to slap one down in a hurry and you get a message "Unable to Deploy".

I'm a inf/CE and that delay in trying to find a spot to place the damn things has gotten me killed many times.

Because i cannot as tacticly place mines and turrets now, i end up only killing stupid people who don't pay attention to where they are going, instead of laying down well thought out ambushes like i used to.

Not being able to place boomers where they need to go has been really annoying. Also spitfires have to be placed where they are easly run over right now. Oh well at least its getting fixed
