Is the Prowler garbage now?

Prowler is a lot meaner now.

However, the gunner mounting animation and side switching still isn't fixed. And, now it seems that the Treads don't seem to roll when the tank is Moving.


Over all I'd say the changes were positive. Now they need to adjust the size of the boxes for MachineGun Ammo. But, thats more of a global thing.

I gunned 100mm in a Prowler yesterday and got a ton of kills. Looking at the results of this poll, and my personal experience, I have to say my first impression of the new Prowler was wrong.

We were almost able to solo a vanny yesterday... but i forgot that it dont take to hills kindly anymore... but then again convential wisdom says that the tank is supposed to move slower them many other vehicles...

Bah. I always gun a Prowler if I get the chance (if I can gun the 100mm, otherwise I don't). I tend to get mad kills with it. I think the Prowler is decent. It's no Vanguard but it is a lot more balanced than before. What was the last patch supposed to do? Duhhhhh....eat cheese?

The Vanguard, Mag and Prowler all meet their empire-specific characteristics. Prowler is like the MCG - not so much damage but fast fire rate. Vanguard is extremely slow ROF but a hell of a lot of damage per shot. And the Mag is accurate, energy-powered and most maneuverable of all the tanks. More balanced.
