If I become part of a squad It'll likly be on the fly and I intend to later on become a commander that dosn't own an outfit but just recruits on the fly for specific tasks.
That said I don't think just using a squad to take a building is that unlikly. Consider that, unlike strategy games and other FPS where theres only one or a few objectives, ( as far as locations go), compared to PS which will literally have dozens to possibly hundreds of bases. So its likly that some base that isn't getting alot of activety will be the focuse for single squads and hotzones where theres alot of conflict at that moment will be the location that larger outfits will be gravitated towards. However even that single squad that atempts to take a base won't have alot of sucesses on any long term since once the hacking has occured and the 15 minute count down begins the opposition will likly focuse in on that location so that single squad will ultimetly be reliing on others to back them up once they see the news. |

On tiny maps it's ok to go "lonewolf." But in my experience in playing WWIIOL it accomplishes absolutely nothing on larger "worlds."
Every once in a while I would wonder off with my M1, hide behind some bushes for a while and see if I could pick off some Axis scum. But it always ended 2 ways: A. You get seen first while in the bushes within the first 5 minutes (after you have spent 45 minutes walking to your destination) without killing even one opposing player. You have to respawn and gear up for the long walk again. B. You get seen after the the first 5 minutes, you pick off one or two of the enemy all the while realizing it does absolutely NOTHING, because they will just respawn in a couple of minutes inside the town. You have to respawn and gear up for the long walk again. Sniping can be fun by yourself if you are tired or frustrated, but have the patience to slowly make your way through the woods, but alot of time I have found, you spend 2 or 3 hours and end up with 2 or 3 kills, whereas if you took the opportunity to join-up with another squad you can get to your destiation more quickly, have the opportunity to gain kill a few enemies and even cap a base. I think this will be the type of game where it's in your best interest to stick with a squad, especially with spawn restrictions. |

People will band together. It's a given. And every lone wolf type player they come across -- sniper or otherwise -- will be decimated. And even if someone gets incapacitated, a Medic will Revive them, and they'll be off. Very few if any people will have fun as a lone player, because whether you're good or just another wannabe sniper, you're going to be outnumbered severely.
