Workstation motherboards

I'm giving up on intel for this i think. Does anyone know whos high end workstatoin mother board(or thee high end boards). I still think i want P4 3.2 with it, but if there all around another chip. What do people know?

workstation boards don't use P4's they use Xeons or Itanium 2's(the ultimate proccesor), but both are very expensive. Asus is a good company for all Mobo's no matter what processor you want in it and the P4C-E Deluxe is suposadly the best 875p mobo out there.

Do you happen to know whether the asus board 875 (Mch)(Ich5r) is compatible with xms twinX 4000 pro. The xms site says its for Intel(canterwood). Its 1 year old synapsis on the stuff.

I Must have the 4000 pro mem.

It will work with all the new 865(pe, p, g, ect.) and 875(only one kind: p) mobo's. Here are the links to the 875's on the website:

Get the E for the best preformance, there is little difference between the two, the only thing i can find is that it uses a different Gigabit lan chip for it's onboard gigabit ethernet

i have the little bor of those the the p4p800 deluxe and it's great.

I thought one of htem was different, and wasnt sure if it was one that was hooked up to the ram. And they only say the support up to the 3200's so i wasnt sure. 8)

anything above the 3200 is overclocking ram. IE not officaly suported by intel but it will still work (very well) in all of the new Springdale and Canterwood chipsets

yup 4000 is Also known at DDR500 and Rbstr summed it all up.
