it's a FunkTroop from U.F.O.
as for A.I., we've gone from vaccum-tube based, 5 MegaByte Computers the size of a small house to transistor-based, 80
Gigabyte, integrated circut computers the size of a HAM radio in under sixty years. many of that progress has been made during the last twenty years. right now, we have this. in ten years, we'll have so much more. they're already working on robo mechanics for the space station. they have this foot-plug thingamawhoosits that anchors it to the station while it fixes what needs fixing. but you're right, a truly self-aware mechanical being is far off. as for robosoldiers, although a robot is indeed the perfect soldier, it i am truly against it. i refuse to waste my ammunition and disgrace my weapons by slaying mindless automatons. however, as supplimental units, indeed a squad synthetic would be a true asset to any small unit. outfit is with a light machinegun, bolt a comm suite on it, a satalite antenne, feild radio, and enough prosessing power to hold all the information relevant to the mission. perhaps makie it in the form of a mattracked ATV? so it becomes sort of a packmule as well?
wait. what the hell was i talking about?
@r3d: OH NO! VERILY, I HATH BEEN PWNED!
@rbstr: no, he can't. unless the weapon was incredibly accurate, and was fired under ideal, predictable conditions. if there's so much as a breeze, the second shot would be off by millimeters.
