Is this information still correct?
CR4 Ability to see all enemies within a radius of you on your map every 20 minutes (via your Command Uplink Device), ability to do continent wide broadcasts, and ability to do a limited Orbital Strike (3 hour recharge, less damage than CR5 OS). Uniform Upgrade: Second Wristguard. |

that info is not correct ... below is what you get.
CR4 abilities : OS (small radius, approx 10m), 3 hour timer EMP radius increased from CR3 (goes from ~10m radius to ~15m radius), 20 min timer ability to reveal enemies (100m radius, i.e. not very large), 20 min timer you don't get the ability to do continent broadcasts ... however, CR4 chat is continental in scope, so you can talk to any other CR4 on the same cont. CR5 abilities : OS (large radius, approx 20m), 3 hour timer EMP radius increased from CR4 (from 15m to 20m), 20 min timer reveal enemies MUCH larger (approx 2km radius, or about 1/4 of the map), 20 min timer continent broadcast (including sanctuary and caverns) global broadcast big "shoot me" backpack |

Sucks that the continental broadcasts don't work. Of course that would be a lot of spam if it did! I was hoping the reveal enemies was going to be larger. That should cover a whole base(the 100m reveal that is). Aleast I will have a good idea of what we are up against when attacking/Defending a base.
I assume the OS still kills anything that it hits. It is just smaller in range than the CR 5 one? I am less than a half a bar away from CR4. Hopfuly I will make it this weekend if I get to play. |

the OS has to be aimed at at about third lowest map zoom setting (i.e. a base SOI circle is about 2 inches on a 19" monitor). this does make it a real pain to use, until you get used to it, although all you need to do after "uploading" coords is re-holster the CUD, and you can then re-spot your OS.
I find the best thing to do is reveal NME, use your personal WP (drop it so the bottom of the arrow is on the exact spot you want, zoomed in as much as possible) then target your OS at the base of your personal WP. you'll normally be within a metre or so, once you get in the habit of it. oh yeah, watch out for trees. |
