this is my PC spec:
AMD Athlon XP2100 1.75 Ghz 512mb RAM GForce Ti4600 128mb video card Display 1600 X 1200 32 bit colour Windows XP Cable internet connection 60gb hard drive Soundblaster Audigy Sound Card 5.1 surround sound How well can i play planetside with this i'd like it to look good I know I should probs get some more RAM but how do I find out what type of RAM i have, what my PC can take etc |

theat will run it decently, aslong as you keep the settings reasonable it will do just fine. PS is a very demanding game on your system.

You have to have some kind of DDR, like pc2100-2700 prolly. First look in your case and see how many chips you got, 1x512 or 2x256 or more gasp. Then see if you have any free slots. Another 1x512 would help your play much more. You can also use a program such as CPUid or SiSoft Sandra to get some more details about your ram.
As for how PS looks, there is really not that big a difference between low to mid-level settings to high. PS is such a hog its impossible to maintain high fps during big battles with high visual settings. I prefer to focus mainly on my clipping plane out to full, and all the basic visual settings on, none of the adv or flora. This allows me keep up with those freaking surgile noobcannons.
