My PS Crashes To Desktop


I'm playing just peachy, and all of a sudden it will crash to desktop. Sometimes my pc will even shut off. Can someone help me?

Happens to almost everyone. Its a PS related thing. Today even, my computer totally restarted while playing PS..... it does weird weird things.

i get a blue screen that happens the first time i play a game for an hour or so on a day but after i restart its fine. It hapens with PS most often, but thats becasue i play PS the most

Update your video and sound card drivers and then re-install DirectX. DirectX errors can sometimes cause the machine to shutdown or reboot. Also, the geniuses at MS thought it would be a great idea if XP just rebooted automatically when it encountered a blue screen of death. To stop that, right-click the My computer icon -> select properties -> go to the "Advanced" tab -> click the "settings" button under "start up and recovery" -> uncheck the box that says "automatically restart".
