realease date ?!?!

I was just out and about today and saw a PS preorder poster. So I went in and pre-ordered. But they said that the release date was scheduled for April 16. Last I heard, ship date was Q1 2003. April 16 is Q2 2003. So now I getting scared that the ship date is going to keep getting pushed back. Anyone else heard anything about release date? Is the store I'm ordering from just getting it late? Shouldn't have pre-ordered...well, I should have pre-ordered online somewhere I guess.

Yeah, they've always said Q1 2003. They're as solid on that date as most games can be.

I'm actually going to wait until the open beta to preorder. I want to make sure that SOE can live up to it's claims about what PlanetSide can do (especially after seeing another recent beta crash and burn hardcore.)

That's a good idea I guess. I preordered already because SOE has alot of experience so I think they'll make it well and in time. This isn't as general, vague and impossible as Galaxies.
