Of course, I am against almost any idea that makes it easier on snipers in this game. Snipers are soloist for the most part, and this is supposed to be a team based game. The last thing I want to see on a continent is 100 snipers parked all over the hills surrounding bases waiting for hours to try and snipe the one person not on a hill.

One Sniper Can Desimate the Morale of an army, in PS they r skeeto/reaver food
Work on your capitalization.

About the tracers, I don't see a problem with it now and it's basically bright 24/7 in PS.

You commenting on PS is like me going to a board for UT, COD, or any other game I haven't played and commenting on the gameplay. Or in even better examples, commenting on the handling of a car without ever driving it, talking about getting high and never even seeing drugs.

I believe this is called.... "talking out of your ass" so shut your pie hole and your other hole, play the game and then your opinions may be vaild.

The concept of tracers in games have nothing to do with any real life tracer. It developed completely on its own as a way to show the affect of bullets in some way in a game along time ago.
Actually, you're wrong. Tracers in video game concepts are done primarily for the same reason we have tracers in the military. To direct fire. And had you played the fucking game, you're realize THEY ALREADY HAVE TRACER EFFECTS for some weapons. At least in the sense that we're talking about. However, the reality is- tracers work both ways. Games that have tracers make it an option. I don't like having my position given away, which is why if I ever got tracers except on a support weapon, I would take that shit out. I also turn tracers off in a game server. But no sniper- NONE- be it in-game or in-real-life- would EVER have tracers (or have them turned on). If you had any concept of what sniping was except as a hill-humping camper, you'd know not even to suggest such a thing, ESPECIALLY if you'd played Planetside.

No, this isn't a game concept, not as it pertains to Planetside. And where you're wrong is here: literally, in posting here. This is a Game Discussion, for "your thoughts on Planetside".

You have no thoughts on Planetside because you've never played the game. It is not Quake. It is not Unreal. It is not Counterstrike. It is not Doom. It is not Duke Nukem. It is not Delta Force Land Warrior. It is not Rainbow Six, Flashpoint, BF1942, Ghost Recon, or any other shooter/sim. Play the game, then give us your thoughts on Planetside in the Game Discussion.

Sniper-tracers or tracers as a general concept have no place in Planetside, they never have and they won't until someone turns the pitch black on and gives us NVGs. When that happens, we can come back and say "Have you played the game yet?"

I was a very good sniper for a while, scored about 500 kills with it roughly, and I would like to see the sniper's tracer either

A) Not float in the air so damn long, you fire a shot and the bullet tracer is in the air for a good 2 seconds
B) raise the sound of the BD firing, and give it a normal tracer

although this might encourage a few more snipers, I think it would be a good adjustment

P.S. I also have air cav, so my points may be a TAD biased
