well... not really. The 3400+ has a locked multiplier, while the FX-51 does not. So technically, the FX-51 is better at OCing because you can up your multipliers.
I've got an AMD 64 3200+, and that locked multi is a bit of a pain. I can only OC my CPU a couple hundred mhz. However, a recent revision of AMD 64 chips has been released, the "CG" revision, which supposedly can clock higher. I really don't know that much about the CG chips, but I'm thinking the FX-51 can still clock higher than it. |
