old PS player wanting to come back wants opinions.

I used to play PS and liked it but only for short stints (about a month at a time). i stopped playing recently in december-janurary. I was wondering how much the game has changed. also i upgraded my video card previously i used to run a gf3 ti 200 and had to run everything at its lowest settings to get good enough frame rates to play with. now i have a ATI radeon 9800 pro (AMD XP 2200 and 1 gig of PC2100 ram) will i be able to crank the settings up to atleast medium and have good frame rates?

edit: actually i just noticed my current character (tankWolfA4) i only played for a week and racked up over 660 kills.
