Unpredictable D/C.

So I randomly get disconnected. 46 ping...no sign of lag...can happen 10-60 mins after I login. Seriously pissing me off. I have 3mb DSL and FX 5700 Ultra. I have no clue what's causing this. Help! Could it be NAV or NIS?

3mb DSL? do you mean cable? if it is cable and you have a tobisha modem it may be a problem with the recent upgrade by cable companies to the 3mbit speeds, some of the older tobisha's have problems with it

also never had this problem until last month or so...nothing has changed in terms of hardware either

Is your cable connected to your computer via USB? I kept getting disconnects when I had my cable connected via USB while playing PSide because of a USB driver conflict.

well i had a buncha friggin disconnects and called up SBC sent a guy out and we found out our line was F*cked up. So it might be worth it to call SBC, but lol guess what he said our max speed was

































8megs(well the max speed possible,we got DSL, only 1.5 thought)

Are you getting packet loss? Does this only occur in PlanetSide?

yes only in ps...and yea i do get packet loss...like 4% rest is green though sometimes downstream kicks up
