I use gamecards because I dont have a credit card. Unfortunately it doesnt tell you how long you have left until your account becomes inactive. You just buy a card, and put the number into your billing info and you have yourself 90 days. The price is the same as using a credit card. When your time runs out you just can't log into the game and you need to get a new game card, your account will always be there and your character will be saved. However if you are not active for a while your account may be deleted.
Sony does have some bugs with game cards. I got one in June of 2003 and worked all the way until January of 2004. The game counts your days as days since activation, even if you don't play one day it still counts as a day. So when I activated my gamecard in june it was only supposed to work until 90 days from then were over.

You can check when the game card expires in the billing information. I cant remember exactly how to get there, but if does say when the game card will expire.
And to the second question, since I just saw it after I posted this reply is yes, 90days from activation the card will expire, even if you only play for 3 of those 90 days. I not sure what specifically you dont understand about squads though. Squads are small groups of up to 10 players. They make it easier for coordination and all squad members share experience points. The squad leader can assign waypoints to make it easier to let everyone in the squad to know where to go. Other then that, I am not really sure what exactly you dont understand about squads. Anything specific? Last edited by Nalar; 2004-04-23 at 01:05 PM. |

I found it, you can check when your game card expire date through the lauch pad (the program that pops up to enter the game). Once you log in, there is a button called "edit subscription". In there it shows you when the game card was activated and when it will expire.
