I was just wondering if this was true
Planetside-Runs Best On Intel P4 and nVidia geforce BF:V-Runs best on nVidia cards Far Cry- Recomended athlon 64 and nVida card i was wondering if stuff like this is true, or if an company just wants their name on a game |

Yeah, it's just branding. In fact, since PS doesn't support hyperthreading, it really doesn't run better on a HT P4 than an AMD.
They do it for the $. It's legal because yes, it does run better on a 3.4GHz p4 with a NVIDIA FX 5950, than it does on an AMD 1GHz with Radeon 7500 . |

Basically it is all bullshit, and nvidia and intel can get away with it because technically PSide would run better on a great nVidia card and great Intel CPU than a shitty ATI card and shitty AMD CPU (as deathsytherulez said). No, PSide doesn't run any better on nVidia than it does on ATI, or Intel than AMD. Pure crap. It was designed to work as good as possible on everyones computers. If they made the game work best on only nVidias and Intels, they would be cutting out a lot of their customers, the last thing they want to do. Buy whatever will work best in your system, and PlanetSide's performance will follow.
