I seriously don't get these jokes.

what so funny about these sites? All they have on them are three lines of text that is somewhat related to the repeated tiled background picture.....funny?

You need to use Internet Explorer, Netscape/Mozilla, the superior browser, does not play the sound.

Maybe there's some attachment/sound disable thingie on, not familiar with the mozilla browser.
