is it worth buying if im upgrading from a GeForce4 MX 420?

btw i have 512 RDRAM
2 gHz pentium 4

yeah, but i would not go for an SE unless that was the only one you could afford, the regual and the pro and the xt all have a memory bus 2x bigger that ammounts to alot of performance

SE sucks compared to even the non pro's. A 9600SE will run ok, but nowhere near as good as say, an XT, would run.

well, the 9600SE would probably run better than any of the 9200 cards, but if you COULD get a regular 9600, you would have a lot better performance...

SE = Shitty Edition

Basicaly the SE all have thier memory bandwidth cut in half ocmpared to teh normal versions, hence alot of techs calling them shitty editions becasue poeple were duped by a 9600 being so cheap.

I woudl get that over a 9200 however

Check eBay, can get great cards for fuck all off it. I scored a 9700 pro for $230AU, which is about $161 US. If you buy off of US eBay, cards are even cheaper.
