It's all about reading comprehension. I've only taken 2 law classes and I can see the problems with that user agreement like a bright red neon sign. The reports done by law proffesionalls, software security experts, and watch dog groups can probably do a MUCH better job of it.

God, Gmail is only being attacked because it's obvious that it's going to attract a lot of clients with it's large space and high quality organizing, so it's only natural that there's going to be people attacking Gmail for being better than the competition. As it has been said, Gmail's user agreement is just like your average user agreement.
