I just finished watching the CBS Evening News, and apparently the guy who almost knocked down a little boy at a Texas Ranger's game (details in this thread) will be giving the ball back to the kid as well as issuing a letter of apology. The guy's name is Matt Starr. I couldn't find any articles on the 'Net, so you'll have to take my word on it for now.
Mr. Starr was probably just coerced into giving the ball back by all the publicity, but at least he partially redeemed himself.

It was probably more like,
WIFE: "I can't believe you did that, you douche." ASS: "WHAT? It was my ball!" WIFE: "You're a fucking asshole. I can't believe I ever married you." --after three days of not speaking or getting laid-- WIFE: "So, are you ready to be a man and give the little kid his ball?" ASS: "Fine."
