I don't see to many people using other faction weapons do to ammo problems. If you like that factions' weapons so much, just be that faction.

Plus you can always steal ammo and grenades.

The only non-common ammo type is energy cells. (oops, not quite)
Shotgun shells are common pool, as are bullets, and grenades. And if you jack some Vanu's ride, check the trunk... There's sure to be a pile of cells in back. Ditto for their corpse. Unless, of course, they died because they ran out of ammo and couldn't shoot back. Phoenixes & striker reloads will be harder to come by. And as far as certs go, if you have, for example, the assault rifle cert, you can use any rifle from any empire. Ditto for anti-vehicular, and "special" (jackhammer/lasher/minigun). Oh, and pistols are a freebee cert, so you can use them all from day one. Devs have said that if you hack an enemy terminal (vehicle or inventory) you can only get your own empire's equipment out of it. Corpses and trunks. Think corpses and trunks. I wonder what happens when you hack a vehicle you're not certified in? Does it still become yours? I seriouslu doubt you could drive it, but I suppose you could hop in a gunner position (and loot the trunk, of course). |

I see alot of medics/hackers doing this if they are going to be in something other than the cloaking armor.

With the 3.5K players in one area, I hope the coffins don't stop movement. That would really suck, if you're Vanu Inf. with beamer, and a Terran MAX actually spots you. You run like hell into the woods, only to be stopped dead in your tracks by your dead partner. Or in an open field where a huge battle is being fought, and you have to jump all over the place, making yourself a huge target. Then vehicles can't get anywhere (except hover?).
Anyways, I hope you can walk through them. |

At most I would guess you would have upwards of 40 coffins tops in view during a "major" all-out fight-for-your-life battle.
Don't forget, those 3.5k people are not in the same area, the logistics of that are astounding. It would just be a great big redish, bluish, purplish sea.
