I have a 512 stick, It works fine. I never get below 20fps. I also have a Ge-Force FX5200. It runs fine, too. Those two things and my AMD athalon give me nore than enough power to run PS. I don't have the flora textures up on it, but then I wouldn't if I had the best system in the US. It gets in the way of my scope when I snipe.
PS: Athalon > Pentium by far. Cheaper, and more powerful. Compaq > Dell. Dell = shitty plastic crap that fries itself after six months so you haveto go buy another one. |

but they are awsome for their price, i give you that 1.5Ghz? from what i hear, in planetside that's "OMFG I HATE THIS GAME" profromance

Over-Clocking? Yeah it can really hype up performance in a big way. Unless you do something wrong, then you just fry your system and watch as you flush 1000+ dollars worth of hardware down the toilet.
It isn't THAT complex, but if you don't know where everything is in your computer (i.e. 'what's the RAM look like?') then you could have a problem. |
