I've got a nice little lock on my mobo so I'm good to go. Check out SDM's 3DMark thread, I've been getting some nice scores

As for the IDE cable thing, yeah, I felt kinda stupid after I noticed it. I thought it was disconnected, as I have it stretch right across the drive. And every time I checked the cables I was checking for a loose molex pin or similar, never thought it would be something so... obvious.

does it lock up on loading a ati driver? (atigskaf.sys or something)
http://www.digitalwebcast.com/2002/0..._boot_toot.htm <<that should help you for anything, the reason i ask about the ati drivers is that my friend had the same problem

Edit: oops to late,

uh... yeah.. its been fine for a week now. Its just this tech forum tends to move a little slow, takes a bit for a thread to drop off the front page (and now that we just bumped this thread again it'll take a whole 'nother week )

in any case, welcome to PSU bakagamer
