157 Hour Patch??

I had to reboot my computer because i forgot my password (hahaha). I had to reinstall everything I needed again. I've installed planetside, but the patch is at 157 hours remainin!!

Happens, considering you have to download EVERY PATCH from now, to when it was released. happens in every game. I have a really fast computer, and on installing some game patches took me a whole day at a time.
So don't sweat it

This is what I am not looking forward to. I get my new computer tomorrow, and I will be reinstalling from the original disks. Will probably take me hours even on cable to get everything since launch updated.

Majik, install planetside normally, then copy over planetside from your old computer to your new one replacing all the files.

The rate with cable to get all the files from launch will most likely only be around 2 to 3 hours or so.

157 hours must be on like a 28k provider.

just start the patch before you go to bed then sleep for 6.5 days

i have cable internet and just reinstalled ps and it only took 45-50 minutes, what are u using? dsl or dial up? ive never had to wait over an hour for mine. i couldnt even imagine playing with any slower connection. lag city

45 minutes for me this time. Took me half that just to swap the 9 disks to reload EQ2.
