Enfield No 4 Range Report and more

I recently found a public shooting range, when we got there I got a chance to fire the enfield (Its great, better than the mosin; more on that later). A few hours later one of the range officiers takes the range next to me with an M1 Garand and her husband with an SVT-40! He comes up to me and asks me about the Mosin Nagant and the Enfield and it turns out hes into surplus arms too. I talk with him for awhile and he lets me fire the M1 Garand, his SVT-40, and the M1 Carbine he brought with him. He also let me go over to the pistol range and let me fire his T33. I ask him questions and he tells me about this Military Gun Club. Im sorry I dont have pictures or video this time since we were already getting ready to leave and I asked my dad and he said we didnt need to take it. But I wish I would have, next time we'll take a camera. He told me if we came back this coming friday he would bring some Mausers his luger and an nagant revolver.

Now for the bolt action rifles,

I love the Enfield, its easily better than the Mosin. Less kick, more accurate, very fast bolt.

The M1 Garand was my favorite, even though the SVT-40 had a higher magazine capacity. The M1 was a hell of alot of fun to shoot.

The M1 Carbine was great as well, alot less kick than the M1. However, it was great to just fire and pull the sights back down, plinking away at the target. I only got to fire two magazines, the bolt spring slipped out of position.

The SVT-40 was pretty unique, it uses standard Mosin Ammo (7.62 x 54R). It had stout kick but I could imagine it being the ultimate urban rifle for Red Army soliders at the time.

The T33 felt a little weaker than a 9mm, not much to say here. T33s are kind of rare and I was amazed when I saw it.

My dad recently purchaced the M1 Para in Las Vegas and had it shipped back to NY. Got to shoot it while we were at said indoor range where we bought it. Pretty sweet gun, easy to load, and not bad recoil.

Accuracy felt a bit wonky, but it was probably my inexperience shooting it. Jammed like crazy, but it was probably because it hadn't been fired in a while.

The magazine slipped once or twice for me, probably just a weak magazine catch.
