It's a new week and Sporkfire has announced the dev activities for this week:
The main activity of this week can be summed up in three words:
Battle Island Testing CriticalMass held a series of Battle Island playtests over the weekend, and the last bits of work toward patching them out to you folks is being done. They're not far off now. In addition, the new global map interface is being finalized. We expect these things to be done for release sometime next week.
We implemented camera shake with the latest update to a mixed reception. Over the coming week, we will be selectively adjusting the shake so it exists on some events and not on others. This will not be a toggled feature but it will not be common to every event in the game either.
After that, I was pretty sure we had something else we were working on. If I can just remember what it was, I might be able to get some screens or wallpapers up, since I want you guys to have a good solid look at them.
On my side, I am following up on the Manual Update Project. I am currently working on a pretty comprehensive rewrite that should be on the site in the next week or two. Thanks to the community for all your help. Other things:- Continued work on performance optimizations and options.
