Summary:
SimMARS was intended as a role playing game, using KIM STANLEY ROBINSON Trilogy (Red Mars, Green Mars, Blue Mars) as an inspiration. The goal is to successfully colonize Mars using NASA inspired technology. The user had to creatively impliment the available martian resource and plan their living around the 6-month cycle of supply ships. (6 months being the time Earth launch to Martian arrival).

I would rather have played that than the sims.

SimMars would have been pretty sweet. The last Sims I ever played with SimCity2000.

I hate to admit it, but when I was much younger, I played The Sims Online. There is not enough beer in the world to make those memories go away.

I played it for a little bit if for nothing else than to see what it was about. I went into someones house where they were all just sitting around on sofas talking.

I then quit and deleted it.

There was a girl who made good money off of Sims Online.

She basically created a whore house. Then "rented" out her characters for actual U.S. currency. I wish I could find the article on it.
