http://steamcommunity.com/gid/103582791430689201 -- (Get Steam now!)
What is Steam? Instantly access your favorite games The full Steam library and all future Steam releases are at your fingertips. After you've purchased a game, download it immediately and start playing. Join the Steam Community Now it's easy to find someone to play with, meet up with friends, connect with groups with similar interests, and host and join chats, matches, and tournaments. Best of all, it's all free. Receive automatic game updates Hunting for patches and downloading from unorganized web sites is so twentieth-century. On Steam, your games stay up-to-date by themselves. No hassles. Trying to spread the word around. I'd very much like PlanetSide NEXT to be available through Steam, which seems unlikely. EVE Online is available through Steam which has it's own registration process through CCP - You purchase and download, and to play you are guided through the EVE website registration and subscription process. Why wouldn't this be possible with PlanetSide, and all or some other SOE games? Last edited by Tikuto; 2009-11-27 at 10:13 AM. |

Steam has a very large community. And what I like about it is that its far from Biased. If PS:Next was on steam, I could see it getting a lot more advertising than by itself. Steam is a great advertiser of new products.
With Station launcher, there wouldn't be Steam support. Sony doesn't want anybody else having sony's money but sony =P even if it cost them more money in the long run. Steam has been a real powerhouse for Indie developers success. One could hope Sony would swallow its pride and give it a go, but it won't happen. |
