Oh, yeah. With no Reveal, I realized that hackers have to be a lot more careful about "oops" tripping over my ams that is rammed under a bunch of rocks, far from the action, with no one spawning at it.
And, as always, avoiding being in a squad or platoon when hiding an AMS is a big help. But the caves, with no Reveal and no OSes have really started to appeal to me more lately. Vast arrays of Sensor Disruptors laid out, blanking out my allies' movements, and that "no death from the sky" thing really make the caves fun! I am amazed, I used to despise the caves. Now, with the "every fifth person isn't a cheater with a free account" days gone, the caves are actually viable for combat again. In the Free Cheat Account era, OMG, if I unzipped my jammies, there was an NC there filming it. Now, I can go a half hour placing CE or AMS or whatever and be undiscovered. It's actually fun. |

To the bolded. Try going to Annwn when the enemy has around 30 troops in the caves and hold a Module facility. I can't tell you how many times I have gotten killed by TR dropping from those with their MCGs. It will be raining TR. I DESPISE that cave for that very reason. I have even seen cases of lower populated forces driving out bigger ones due to having the module facilities on many occasions.

I've always like the caves. After the initial rush when Core Combat was released, they remained largely underpopulated most of the time. However, I always thought that they looked quite beautiful and would often take long strolls through the caves holding Hamma's hand. It was one of the few places where we could openly engage in our interempire relationship without being harassed.
