Does stuff like this take away from the game / degrade it in any way?

I always thought it would be a good idea to treat it like a forum and utilise volunteer moderators to keep the comms on topic.

Obviously they would have to select mature people who know what outcomes they're after - maybe even the larger outfit leaders as an example.

Like someone said, when CSR's actually existed, global silliness was kept to a minimum.

Again though, this does seem like a situation that could benefit from an EVE-style ISD program.

Heres the thing guys, global chat when monitored is fine. If you said anything offensive in global chat 5-8 years ago when it was monitored you would get a warning/suspension. Now it is rarely monitored from what I'm seeing, mainly because the game is so old that they have decided not to monitor it like they once did. A lot of people want it removed, but the problem with it is that no CSR monitors it at the moment or at least rarely does so people say whatever they want and continue playing.

When it's monitored you will see people get suspended/warned, right now people are going to abuse it because theres no one there to discipline them.

I am so used to seeing that I stopped caring really about it. The issue prevalent when I got CR5 back in 2005 on Emerald NC.

I would be lucky to log on in the morning and be the only CR5 on with like 50 people playing. Thats rather ridiculous. God I wish I got this game when it was first released .

yea now every base fight has a minimum of 4 OSes. its kind of sad
