Would a flare gun count as a pistol? Because since lighting is going to be a factor in a shootout would it be wrong to pop off a flare into the sky then into my enemies?

Planetside concept art had swords. Planetside developer's rewarded player's with Katana back in the day. Sword's obviously have an exploitable niche which should be exploited, If only for novelty or mostly aesthetic purposes.

To be honest though for a moment...I think i just want to see our art team's take on Empire specific melee weapons again. All this fantastic art is getting my excited and I'll be damned if T-Ray doesn't come up with a beautiful beam and or energy sword for the Vanu. Terran's would of course get a giant chain-sword and the Conglomerate who is to hipster for sword's will instead opt for a massive two handed Battle Hammer which they have re purposed from a giant pneumatic construction Hammer or something.

Did I mention that I would purchase a flag from the Cash/point store?

I would love to see someone coming at me with a sword. So I could remove his head with a triple-shot from my Hilti. Seeing his corpse twitch and gurgle on the ground would be reward for having eliminated an officer-class elitist scum.
