So since the Galaxy may be our mobile spawn point as well as our main air transport now I'm wondering how this tool will be implemented.
I think it will be able to spawn troops while flying. If so, should we spawn inside with weapon terminals? Able to jump as we please? Or will we just pick our weapons at a death screen and when we select the Galaxy we just spawn underneath it and start falling? (Personally I'd love to spawn inside, with some windows and an open cargo bay door. Would be a great scene if in combat) The most common thing about deployed AMSs in PS1, was that no one was driving... I'm just wondering if there will be any incentive or encouragement to just fly around a battle with no guns, letting people spawn. What if the Galaxy could fill an air support role? Improved radar for troops below? Ammo Drops? Spawn small vehicles? Recharge nearby shield or boosters for aircraft? They could tie-in with command abilities. Or maybe the AMS ability is only available if you park it, then we just have a classic AMS but much bigger and can take off. Any other ideas? |

They've confirmed that you can spawn while the vehicle is in motion. I expect that you'll spawn in a passenger slot with the gear of your choice. No walking around inside though. That would be interesting, but I suspect it's just not in the physics.

Sexy ladies walking-dancing inside my ship, Hot-Dropping sliding down a pole. O SNAP.
I favor the idea of Galaxy repairing friendly aircraft in the air (not stationary - repair only) whereas; the Sunderer repairing any friendly motor from the ground (stationary only). |
