Ship Chassis - Can you sell us more variety, please?

As awesome as the reaver and mosquito are, I would really enjoy flying a ship that has a deifferent shaped chassis. Performance wise it could be the same as it's "class" of ship, it would simply look different. A cojple shapes that I like from SWG are,

Dunelizard

Z-95

Visually, what I like about the Dunelizard is the nose and cockpit area, which reminds me of the Spitfire from WWII. I do really likr the rest of the sip's design as well and it was my favorite ship in SWG.

The design of the Z-95, as apposed to an X-Wing is the overall shape of the slender nose leading to the wing as well as the engine placement. I could see a ship in PS2 that uses the same shapes, but has a swept back wing with armament slung beneath the wing and fusalage.

In terms of adding such visual customization, I would be happy to pay $20 for the ship and $2.50 for different engines, weapons, and wing shapes, etc. So, "appearance" items for PS2.

Possible or will we be playing the same looking ships for years on zzzzzzzz........ Whuh? What was I doing?

how would you execute the hitboxes that different shaped vehicles would require? that Z wing for instance would be much harder to hit than the other ship you posted, that would have to be taken into account?

Hjal will be on hand at SOE to address such concerns. In practice though, the hit box is invisible and uneffected by the ship itself, so all chassis of the same class could use the same sized hit box. I wouldn't sweat that detail. Slightly better line of sight may well happen though, depending on the shapes.

What I am hoping is that the customisations you make to the vehicles can really change the look of them; check out the PCG article for the customisation on the magrider for an example.

Rather than waste time on different looks for the same chassis I would rather them make it different, say a two man fighter to fill in the gap between the fighters and the Lib, or a half squad flying transport when a galaxy would draw too much attention and be too slow.
