Questions I have but never found the answer "


1: Would like to know if the Mech from ps1 will make it in ps2 ?

2: I want to know the exact number is that 600 per team and 1800 total ?

3: Why the NC medic helmet is so ugly ?

4: I want to know if there is going to have (( mission )) inside a based i mean by thats like Air defense that need to be disable Generator thats need to be disable etc..etc..etc.. Or is in ps2 the goal will just be hack a single terminal to get the controle of the outpost and ur done ?

5: i want to know whats from a ground soldiers perpective if there is any planned to be able to conter Air domination ? I mean efficient rockets stationary or portable AA device etc... ?

1: BFRs won't make it. Mechs might be implemented after release. Mechs that aren't BFRs (hehe).

2: 666.666 recurring per team, 2000 total.

3: Because the senior art director is VS and it's his way of punishing? the lead dev and the head of SOE, who are both NC.

4: There will be multiple things to disable in order to (or at least make it easier to) take a base.

5: Troops will have AA.

1) No

2) 666 per team has been confirmed, making 1998 total

3) Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, we've seen some screenies with different helmets that look fairly amazing! That said, I dont mind the NC medic helm myself

4) I believe missions such as "disable generator" or "disable shield generator" etc have been mentioned and even seen on gameplay footage

5) We havn't heard much about normal grunts ground to air methods, but we do know that engineers can deploy manned AA/AV/AI turrets. There will also most likely be wall turrets of some kind. Lightning and the ES MBTs can be fitted with AA, MAX can also naturally have AA.

but its kinda sad the mech wont make it they were awesome back in the day i remember some awesom figth with my mech

no. but t-ray mentioned, that he still likes the concept, so bfr might be revisited some time in the future.

we don´t have exact numbers yet. but since 2000 was often mentioned during interviews, your approximation might be near the planned reality.
this may scale later on if the devs notice the servers can´t take that much or the opposite, the servers are stable and could feature even more players.

there will be plenty of mission objectives to do in bases. we don´t know the details yet, but matt told us that it´s a lot more than just take one point

at least there will be aa maxes and deployable aa turrets that need to be manned

I always hated BFRs. I believe they ruined a lot of what I thought PS was...
I'm glad they are being left out of PS2 .. for now at least.

They were an interesting concept, in that they dominated vehicles big time, it wasnt even close. But they could rather easily be taken out by a solo infantry with av and a jammer or two. They were designed to be taken out by infantry to help complete the rock, paper, scissors circle. However in practice, people didnt wanna get out of their vehicles to do this so it just didnt play out gameplay wise.

Imo, despite being a very solid idea that was implimented just fine, it didnt work out for actual gameplay and fun so it shoulda been redone or scrapped. With the new customization, BFR's dont add anything anymore other than the shield concept which as we all know would have to be totally redone to work in ps2. However a totally new approach to the vechicle that works on a different premise but still uses the mech instead of standard transportation, could be interesting. But it would have to bring somethin new and diffferent, not just mech looks for the sake of it.

Waiting for the return of the superior, real PS style teamwork oriented vehicles with drivers not gunning, and in fixed vehicle slots so we can once again have real, epic, vehicle battles where the tanks actually move in combat rather than a silly 1700's era line up and shoot.
