PlanetSide 1 base excavation, hidden on a map.

I really thought it would be cool to have just a single one PlanetSide 1 base hidden in the PS2 world of Auraxis.

I know the game is a reimagining, but to be able to explore the new world we have really fought on for 8 years would feel slightly incomplete without stumbling upon an old Tech Plant, Interlink Facilty or even an Air Tower submerged beneath the ground.

Maybe on an angle, with only a broken backdoor to enter from. Perhaps there could be some objective or achievement located within for finding it. Or maybe it could be a single lesser capture point even.


I know the old base interior fights were cramped and hectic.. and their style of layout don't really belong in PlanetSide 2. BUT It would be really cool to see an old base hidden beneath Auraxis's crust, with perhaps a (hidden) way in.

If this could even be on a continent added after launch I'd be happy. I miss finding the things in the PS1 world, like the PS symbol in the middle of a stonehenge on Ish. Or the Giant Avian fossilized in Old Oshur's terrain. Or even the addition of the Monoliths!

I trust there will be some of this sort of stuff out there for us to find, I can only hope an old PS 1 base or tower is hidden somewhere in New Auraxis, since the bending unbent into another (SWEETER LOOKING) dimension. 8)

I know this was talked about in another thread not to long ago. But yes I agree, I would love to see a old PS1 base or tower placed somewhere on the map. Having a objective inside of it that has to be taken would be cool.

Before PlanetSide came out, I hoped that you could fly over the ocean to one of the other continents. I hope the same thing for PlanetSide 2, but I doubt it considering the warpgates. However, hidden things out in the ocean would be epic!

Gotta love this idea but I'd rather see it as a destroyed base or a ruin not something gameplay related. But definitely as an easter egg it would make me grin.
