Now correct me if i'm wrong but back when i had time to pay attention to game development, a game had to be programmed to function on a mac.

Planetside 2 is not being released on mac and thus will not work regardless of it being on steam or not.

Of course i could be wrong as it's been many a year since i last paid any real attention.

Current forms akin to the onlive system do not function properly for multiplayer fps games, it would probably be comparable to playing on a console against pcgamers.

*also to note posts like the above make me continue to ponder why someone and vocal and opinionated as basti is now a mod. But heyho it hamma's party we are just dossing here.

Yeah, totally. PlanetSide 2 being on the biggest PC game distribution service would be REALLY BAD. We certainly don't want those millions of people seeing the words FREE TO PLAY on a brand new title for them to download and play at absolutely no cost!

I have like 10+ games on it, and Steam is such a mess.

Steam is one of the greatest things to happen to PC games. I don't understand how you could possibly hate having an enormous amount of amazing games available for such ridiculously low prices all permanently stored on your account...
