I really like it, quite a bit. The only thing that struck me as something I might do, is make the right side of the center a complete circle, and unshadow the eagles right side, cause at first it was hard to see on my rig, until I looked closer. The incomplete circle messes with my sense of symetry for some reason... But, dont get me wrong, the over all design is really good.

I agree with #1. Some of the best logo's I can remember are made from a combination of primitives with solid, and/or simple gradient colors. As for #2, I think if the outfit is purely NC, modifying the NC logo to be unique for the outfit is kinda cool.

Somebody made some logo's using vector graphics in another thread and IMO this is the way to do it. Vector art is superior to bitmap for resolution scaling with minimal detail loss.

i kinda prefer a little more complez symbole to merge the NC with our OWN my clan 2freak logo is pretty simple its a circle with a shadow bird the logo inside is ou Clan logo but i want to do something special for the NC 2freak outfit

I'm TR plain and simple, and if the NC want to have flaming bling so be it. Lot of work went into it. A bit much on the bling, but what do I know, I'm TR for life
