Alpha/Pre-Alpha. This is exactly the sort of thing that will see lots of tweaks and adjustments to see what plays well. We have no idea what *time* of night this was. Is this 2am, Auraxis time, or 6am? |

I would want it darker but not too dark. Surely we're supposed to be fighting 50% of the time (correct assumption??) at night and I have no interest in playing all the time without seeing a thing properly.
I'd rather see me disconnecting right after sunset ;P Actually I'd like a night that's darker and much shorter than day times; 30% night, 70% day. Night would have a meaningful effect but not get on my nerves.

But I still want to see what those dark nights are. And no, it won't be like a black screen. Thanks for the obvious and not funny joke, Vancha |

Think if it was jet black darkness like you want then it would be OP. Me and my mag gunner would be in serious trouble when we get attacked by a couple of reavers above and cant see them but they can see our lights. Would be cool tho if there was say one in game hour where it would be pitch black. I guess maybe all you have to do is switch your forward lights off

I just want to see those black nights they talked about. Because all I see are blue nights. They said there would be nights where you'd have to turn your lights on to correctly see. That's really not the case in those blue nights. Also, we've seen FPS games with very dark environment before (Doom 3, some Killing Floor maps, ...), that's doable, and very immersive. Oh, and tracers and muzzle flashes can be seen too. It's not just a VS thing. Last edited by Sabrak; 2012-05-03 at 12:47 PM. |
