I would guess that they may end up doing a mix between ragdoll and death animations, along with locking a dead body in place once it has come to rest. The need to be able to revive a player means that we can't have them getting pushed too far out of the way into impossible to reach locations, although that doesn't mean there can't be a little movement right after they were killed from an explosion or a roadkill.

Which is to say that corpse will be liquified or shredded when hit by heavier munitions, not just thrown 50 ft.

I love gibbing, but in a game where you need to be able to revive players (and keep a T rating), I highly doubt they will be in.
